Fans of The CW show "Privileged" will be sad to learn that the
sexual tension between Megan and Charlie will soon end. The tension
won't end due to another love, but to the fact that Charlie, and the
actor who portrays him, will be leaving the show.
Celebrity News Service has learned that Michael Cassidy, who plays
Megan's longtime friend Charlie, will be going back to college on
"Privileged's" 15th episode. The show will return with its final six
episodes beginning Tuesday, January 6.
While fans are sad to see Cassidy go, many aren't surprised.
"He really wasn't used well on the show," one fan told Celebrity News
Service. "I was really hoping that Charlie and Megan would get
together, so I am really disappointed." Word is that the casting
decision was due in part to Cassidy's small part and to budgetary
reasons. Apparently there is room in the budget for another beau for
Megan, not just rich boy Will but another new love interest.
Those guys should keep Megan busy until Charlie returns from
college.

CW Shows Nominated for People's Choice Awards
The nominees for Peoples choice awards have been announced, and
several CW shows are among the honored. SUPERNTURAL is
nominated for Favorite Sci Fi/Fantasy Show, while VALENTINE
is nominated for Favorite New TV Comedy.
Meanwhile, the nominees for Favorite New TV Drama include three CW
shows 90210, EASY MONEY, and PRIVILEGED!
The Peoples Choice Awards honor fan favorites in television,
movies and music. Awards will be presented at the Shrine Auditorium
in Los Angeles.

"Privileged" follows a young tutor who is brought in to look after
two filthy rich teenagers in the hopes of getting them into Duke
University. A seemingly perfect fit into the CW's youthful lineup,
the show has slowly started to build some ratings steam and recently
got the green light to produce more scripts. Could a full order
of episodes be far behind?
Watch New Eps Of '90210,' 'Privileged' On Election Night
The CW will be the only broadcast network airing regular
programming on election night, Tuesday, November 4, with
original episodes of freshman series 90210 and Privileged, along
with special election updates.
To ensure viewers can watch their favorite shows without
missing election results, both 90210 and Privileged will
deliver shortened episodes, giving stations time to air two local
election updates per hour. Ninety percent of the networks affiliates
will be participating with the cut-in opportunities.

CW has ordered a couple more scripts for its underdog
soap "Privileged," the network confirmed.
The Warner Bros./CBS Paramount/Alloy Entertainment drama has
been struggling in ratings on Tuesday nights, yet has
demonstrated some growth in recent weeks even as lead-in "90210"
has softened.
The last "Privileged" episode was up 22% to 2.3 million viewers,
1.1 adults 18-49 rating and a 3 share. The CW considers
"Privileged" firmly on brand for the network, and continued
growth could result in a pickup despite lower-than-average CW
ratings.
